I’ve been creating numerous advertisement drafts that I think would perform well on other websites, but can’t decide on which one to feature. As you all know, advertising is a great way to broaden your audience and expand your reach. It provides unparalleled attention to your graphic & website that can be used for one of two things:
- Branding your identity, or;
- Converting the interested visitor to a subscriber, person who leaves comments, etc.
So without further adieu, here is the point of this post – I would like to ask your opinion on which graphic you think would attract your click (Not Branding – At least not yet
).
The Candidates Fighting For Your Poll:
I made four, but these three are the ones that I deemed worthy to represent my blog. #1 looks great on white, as you can see in this post, but #2 & #3 would standout from a white background and catch the eye.

i vote for first design, the white one..
but the design should actually depend on
where you wanna to advertise..
if you want to advertise on one blog..
see the blog template and make sure your ads
contrast with the template color.
so you can attract more click..
and animated(.gif) give no harm..
so try make one..

I agree with the first comment.
I prefer the first one as well, good job with the first two.

I would go for the last one , and as whizblog have mentioned animated ads tend to get clicked more often.

A light background seems to be the thing now, so I vote for #1

I like the second one… It matches the color in your header logo. Plus the reflection of the B is more noticeable.

@ All – Very interesting opinions, I’ve decided to let the ad run till Friday, then I’ll post about them on Sat.
I like the second one. The logo ‘Pops’ more than on the white background. The logo is what people tend to remember… Lot of visual people on the web. With the third one, the logo is drowned out completely by the name. The name, while important, isn’t what catches people. And the description is what they want… What can you do for me? Not, what’s your name… They’ll remember the name when you’ve hooked ‘em with your content.

I like the first one. It is nice and clean, light and easy on the eye.

@ Aria – I agree that the logo pops out more on the second one, I think it looks a lot cleaner. Yea, The third one sucks.
@ Gerri – The white one looks good as well.. Good thing I have a poll to help me
Why are you separating branding from attraction when you can (should) do both at the same time?
Dennis Edell’s last blog post..$100 First Prize! The *Best Blog Review Contest* Is In Full Effect!
@ Dennis – How would I go about doing that? Could you explain a little deeper?? I’m very interested in how to do both
It’s not too difficult, you just need an attractable logo that you plan to stick with. That’s the key.
What do you want to brand? Your name – the type of blog (blogging tips for instance) – the blog itself?
That’s the very first thing you need to figure out.

Frankly..It’s a tough choice.. Glad you use poll to get opinions..
May the best design wins..

I like the second one far and away the best, it really grabs my attention. But then, I think you’ll do well with any of them. Nice designs, all.

Hey Brad,
First thing I thought of when I read this title was Ghostbusters, where they had to choose the form of their destruction… Made me laugh (in a good way)!
Anyway, I know I’m in the minority here, but I strongly suggest you have your name on your banner like in Number 3. If you are posting these on other people’s websites, they might assume that the tips are coming from that site, and then get confused when they arrive at yours.
Again, I may not have the numbers on my side here, but I felt it needed to be said…
