Further Accelerate Your Blog – MaxCDN is offering 1TB of Bandwidth for $10

logo

Update: 2010/07/20 – Maxcdn has since increased the price of their offer from $10 to $39.95 – 1000GB at $39.95 is still a steal, so I’d encourage you to utilize this offer.

In the previous post, I talked about how to make use of Google’s Ajax Libraries CDN to serve Jquery, Mootools and other Javascript frameworks to your visitors, but to speed up everything else, MaxCDN is offering an amazing special (02/22/10) of 1 Terabyte (1000 GB) of bandwidth for $10. This works out to 1 cent per GB – take that Amazon S3!

I’d encourage every webmaster that is serious about growth to consider this deal. As you all may know, load speed is one of the crucial factors that affects website conversions and overall enjoyment of a website or blog. By harnessing the powers of a Content Delivery Network, you can speed up the loading process of your blog and allow your users to access the content as fast as possible. Of course, other methods of optimization always help load speed as well.

Needless to say, I’m Impressed:

I’ve recently purchased this package and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to hosting static files on a single server. MaxCDN (formerly NetDNA) has made this experience as easy as possible to set up. They answered all my questions about CDN support for WordPress (using W3 Total Cache) as well as supporting other sites.

Not only do they have 10 Edge locations serving your content to your visitors (9 in the US and 1 in London), they also compress your static CSS and JS files “on-the-fly” to further increase load speed.

Take advantage of this Amazing Deal:

I’m not even being paid for this… I just think all of you should know about the deal thats currently going on!

Questions:

Do you currently use a CDN?

If so, does it match the current deal of this company?

    I’m interested!

Brad, Have you been using CDN prior to MaxCDN and what has your experience been like? What kind of a difference have you noticed on your blog?

    • Posted February 24, 2010 at 8:22 pm | Permalink

I didn’t use a CDN before MaxCDN as I didn’t really see a need for it. Once I signed up though (which the owner basically set up for me entirely, Paypal invoice and the account) I was hooked. I thought, “If the owner is willing to work that hard for a new client, his company has to be good!” :)

I’ve noticed a “noticeable” difference in the loading speed of my blog. That’s sort of corny sounding though. I’ve seen shorter waits between typing in my URL and the content popping up.

      Worth the investment? Definitely. :D

Brad, seems like you are the only blogger who understands me as most of my queries are present as blog post in this blog. Funnily, I came across this post through a google search.

I would like to know if Maxcdn has really worked out for you? I see that your page speed score is 88/100 and would like to know your exp. till now..

My blog score is 82/100 and I am not using any cdn services. Has your site seen a slight boost in traffic after implementing maxcdn? Just curious as Google says it values sites with faster page loading :)

I have seen an improvement in website traffic since I invested in a CDN Network. It really has worked great on all of my websites and my clients websites as well. :)

Thanks, Brad. Done with the order, let’s see how it works out.. but for $10, it was a no brainer.. :)

        Cheers!

Does this $10/month deal come with any storage at all, and if so how many gigs of storage? Or do you need to pay separately for storage?

  5. Posted March 25, 2010 at 11:32 am | Permalink

OK, I realized the $10 is a 1TB bundle, not per month. But my original question still stands: is there a separate charge for storage?
