What Days To Post Good & Filler Blog Content

  • Monday - Friday - Good (Well-Written) Content
  • Saturday - Sunday - Filler Content
  • Reason? - Many people do things with their families/friends on the weekend and don’t have time to read blogs. For those that do, you could highlight your best posts throughout the week or link to other posts that you have enjoyed. I also notice a downward fluctuation during the weekend in my R.S.S Subscribers

Why is this post so short?

What can be said in 150 words can most likely be said in 80.

I tried cutting out the fluff in this post. ;)

7 Sites To Add Pictures To Your Posts

    Jul.02, 2008

eyeA picture will capture somebodies attention much more faster than the average title and text. Like in this example, it allows the reader to first identify what the picture is, and then makes them curious about the text and content that is around it.

In this post, I’ll give you seven different websites that provide free pictures for you to use on their posts. Without further reading, here they are:

    Out Of Ideas? Get Real.

Ideas End AheadIf you can’t think of something to write about, you should be ashamed of you and your blogging ability. With the entire internet and world at your fingertips, is it really that hard to come up with something to write about??

How do you think Daniel Sorroco and the team of 3 other people (I hope I spelled his name right) writes three different blogs DAILY?! Is he just that much smarter and quick-witted than you? They currently run the ever so popular DailyBlogTips, DailyWritingTips & DailyBits.

Although even after reading this and not coming to a sad realization that there is many things you can blog about, here are some strategies/ideas for posts:

    1. Look on Digg and see if theres a story that you would want to write your opinion about.

    2. Check Out Technorati to figure out what is happening in the blogger internet.

    3. Do a Youtube Video Post and say at the bottom, “I Thought You Would Enjoy This”.
    Such As This: http://www.youtube.com/v/12yD8JyaVvY&hl=en

    4. Sit down and brainstorm an idea. 5. Discuss your methods of SEO, Writing, Blogging, Getting to the top of Google, etc.6. Cut up other blogs by pointing out their most obvious flaws in a website review.

So hopefully after this, you can think of one post (or more!!) to write about today, or another time you want to satisfy your readers urge for the content you produce.

A New Strategy - Helping Everyone

Blogging isn’t all about gaining the most readers or making the most money, its also about helping other people out and getting that special warm and fuzzy feeling! After reading a post about how including links would help everyone in SEO and Technorati, I thought, Why not? You get to learn about new bloggers that have just started writing articles and help them rise to fame instead of linking to the latest Problogger post.

Another strategy that I will be implementing into my blog is full posts instead of partial ones. It’s just plain annoying to click that “Read More” link every time you want to read an article. You won’t see a “Read More –>” anymore around here. It also helps readers that are subscribing via R.S.S to just read the article in their browser and not making them load my page in another window. It basically destroys the meaning of syndication.

So I hope you’ve enjoyed my update..

    Does Spelling Really Matter?

    School Spelling Mistake

When Blogging, many people often proof-read there posts so that the spelling has no errors and it makes the blog appear to have good, quality content. Many big-time bloggers stress the importance of spelling correctly when creating posts for your readers, Problogger for instance. But I will counteract with this one question: Does Spelling Really Matter?

    Write Proficiently. Nice and Simple.

Long RoadI’ve read to many websites that have long paragraphs and expect you to read every word. Personally, thats why I don’t like reading E-books because my reader shows me that there is 112 pages on one and I don’t have the time to do that.

So why write so much? Many people are successful bloggers by only writing small amounts. That way, many people can enjoy the content while getting the most information out of a small article. Nothing beats no more than required.

Plain Standard Website Impressions - Are YOU Guilty?

    Jan.13, 2008

Text Links, 3rd Party Ads, Cluttered?!?So now that traffic and readers are visiting your website or blog, what impression are you giving them? Too many blogs (and sometimes websites) that I have visited have their name at the top of the page then third party ads right beside, under and on the sidebar which distracts you from the key thing a website or blog is based around.. Content.

If that doesn’t apply to you, then most people will wonder. How does this site stand out from the rest? Every site should have something unique so that visitors will come back. Continued Traffic is based on three things… [Continues After The Jump...]
