What I can tell you about this plugin is that it allows the people to subscribe to the “Post Comments” and will receive the next comments that other people do on that pertaining post in their emails.

Now, unless you are having an open discussion about something and are curious about what other people might say, this plugin might not be for you and your visitors because nobody really likes their email inbox filling up with messages such as…

This handy little plugin allows you to use your MailTo: links without having to worry about spam. By converting those links in the hexidecimal codes, Spammer bots will not be able to harvest your emails and spam the living daylights out of you! I’m so confident in this plugin that:

This plugin is available here and I recommend it for everyone that would like to not worry about being spammed if you use a MailTo: link in your blog.

*Update* - After foolishly trusting my email with this plugin, It failed miserably and as pointed out through arnold’s comment.. It does not work for RSS feeds…

 Does that mean I have spammers that have subscribed to my feed? OH THE IRONY!

No Ping Wait is a plugin that lets you ping various services (Technorati, Google, Feedburner) instantly when you finish a post and publish it on your blog. Wordpress does this, but usually waits an hour before doing so. With this plugin you can bypass this wait time and publish article on all of those pinging sites. Which ultimately results in more traffic… :twisted:

No-Follow Free removes Wordpress’s “No Follow” attribute from commenter’s links, which make them count as links to their websites and blogs! This is a great way to give back to a person that has actually bothered to comment on your post and take up THEIR time to give their opinion. Why not credit them with at least a link? (Better yet, what about a comment back on their blog or responding to theirs on your own blog)

This nifty little plugin allows you to change whether your links point to http://yoursite.com or http://www.yoursite.com which would be crucial for your links. By setting one or the other, all of the links that aren’t pointing to the right address get changed to the right one that you set…Increasing your inbound links and ultimately - where you stand in the Search Engines and your Google Pagerank.

For the second installment of this series, I will point out that this blog uses CommentLuv which fetches your latest blog posts and displays it at the bottom of your comment..Which is some great promotion for your time and opinion. The second plugin that will be featured today is Comment Relish. What this plugin does is after you comment on this blog, It will email you and send my thanks in the form of a email!

So the first plugin, CommentLuv is available here and is installed as every other plugin is. The second plugin, Comment Relish is available here and needs some customization before you can use it. You can access the options of it by going to the “Plugins” menu and finding the “Comment Relish” tab. Then you can customize your message that you send.

The benefits to using the Comment Relish is that you will make the reader feel appreciated and more likely to come back if you send them a email. It’s always nice to see, “Thanks!” for a subject of an email in your inbox. This will probably remind them of your blog and will make them come back.

The benefits to using the CommentLuv is self-explanatory. People aren’t likely to do something if people don’t give something in return. This plugin is that one extra step that will encourage them to comment.. Who doesn’t like seeing their posts on someone else’s blog?

These two plugins are recommended for Wordpress blogs. Although not necessary to gain search engine hits, it would be beneficial to any person that wants to comment on your blog… Therefore gaining your more comments..which is crucial for blog success!

As mentioned in my post I did a while ago, I have been using the “All In One S.E.O” Wordpress Plugin which lets me customize headings, descriptions and keywords. How this works is that it creates separate titles, descriptions and keywords for the search engines [For Techies: It uses "ALT" parameters on every post] than you might have inside of your actual post.

For example, If I wanted to create a post about sandwiches and titled it, “Grilled Cheese” on my blog, I could use this plugin and create another title for Google which would be, “Amazing Grilled Cheese Sandwhich Recipe“. Amazing huh? :smile:

This is a must for every blogger as you will NOT obtain decent Search Engine hits if you don’t use this plugin. The link for the easy download is right here and installation is as easy as uploading it to your wp-content folder and activating it!
