Choose The Right Blog Hosting

This post IS NOT what you should be looking for when finding a blog hosting company… It is determining which one is best. It’s often hard to find blog hosting reviews on the internet as the people refer to “web hosting” as the correct term…

So judging from the reviews on 2 different websites that let people give web hosting ratings – WebHostingRating.com (I’ll actually be using two web hosting reviewers (WebhostingGeeks) for this analysis of the Best Web/Blog Hosting.), I’ll give you a recommendation based on 3 criteria:

  1. Package Inclusions
  2. Cost
  3. Customer Support

Package Inclusions:

All of the web hosting will try to sell you on their “extra” gifts to make you buy their products.. What you need to be concerned about is: How much bandwidth and disk space do I get?

On both of the reviewing sites, it seems that InMotion hosting seems to be the most reliable and scored a 98% on one of the sites, and 5/5 for user ratings on the other site. The people seem pretty happy with what they have bought and give a recommendation to new people buying hosting.

Cost:

Cost is another factor that you need to consider when choosing the webhosting for your blog. Webhosting Pad charges $3.96/month for their services and give you a very nice arsenal of “gifts” (free domain, unlimited bandwidth, etc.) with their hosting.

If you choose some large budget hosting, hope that you develop a site that can generate that back in revenue :)

Customer Support:

This is simple: If they have bad customer support, don’t use them. I guarantee that you will need them once or more.

The two sites that I used for this review also have some great Cpanel tutorials at their web hosting tutorials section. (WebhostingGeeks also has a web hosting tutorials section).

Last but not least, web hosting awards always let you see the “Cream of the Crop” (so to speak) of what web hosts really stand out from the others. Although they shouldn’t be the only factor in choosing your blog hosting, it doesn’t hurt to at least scan them over for details.

What blog host do you like the best?? Why??

I am a fan of Hostgator too. I am currently hosted with Media Temple on their Grid Service (gs) plan. They offer a number of different options. Time will tell if I stay or not. The customer support has something left to be desired, 12+ hours response on an urgent ticket.
