So YOU Want To Get Off The Bottom of The Blogger World, huh?

Ahhh, Yes. I do recall when I started my first blog: The Daily Rambler

and trying to figure out HOW to start promoting my blog, without spending money of course. It took me a TON of time to promote it, but once I was done…I had over 60 subscribers and 400 Page views per day, sitting back with an Alexa Traffic Ranking of under 300,000. Not bad for free promotion huh?

Enough about me. Not even in a week in starting this blog, I’ve already have a plan on how to get this blog on the major charts of the blogging world. Though this list may fail, it certainly wouldn’t hurt this blog’s reputation or Page Rank! This list is dedicated to helping newer bloggers establish a name for themselves through submitting their blogs through directories, social networks and other free websites.

The First thing I am going to say is that you should probably get Roboform to save your info. It is free and allows you to save 3 profiles..an excellent tool for submitting your blog to the directories that I will be talking about in a minute. Go and get it because it is free.. I’ll Wait.

…..

Great. Assuming that you didn’t install it and just scrolled down the page, your just making more work for yourself.. It doesn’t matter to me. Directories are a huge list of websites that list your site for free. Usually for a reciporical link back to their site, you can get your blog into that list! This is the most crucial part of link building so that you get inbound links back to your site. Below is a list that I have used for Bradblogging.com. I hope they find some use for you. They are all free to use so you will not have to buy anything.

That is the tip of an iceberg my friends. More will be coming tomorrow. In-case you can’t wait, there is a huge resource of directories at the bottom of the post. The next post will cover social networks and how IMPORTANT they are to your blog. If you don’t use them, your missing great traffic and readership opportunities! Thank you for reading this post.

Another great resource for directories would be TopBlogRank as it has many directories not listed here!

From the directories I haven’t received a single hit from them, but all they are good for is the inbound links.
