Unique Wordpress Plugin #4 - Enforce WWW. Preference

This nifty little plugin allows you to change whether your links point to http://yoursite.com or http://www.yoursite.com which would be crucial for your links. By setting one or the other, all of the links that aren’t pointing to the right address get changed to the right one that you set…Increasing your inbound links and ultimately - where you stand in the Search Engines and your Google Pagerank.

If you type into your browser: http://www.bradblogging.com, you’ll see that it redirects to http://bradblogging.com

Want to use this easy plugin? The download link is available here.

Stay tuned for another cool plugin this afternoon!

This is good. Anything for Blog*Spot? Nah! Just kidding, Brad. Anyway, thanks for your comments on Web Directory. I’m about to create a new on how I got FireFox back. Can I quote your comments for this new post? See you around. Greetings and lots of love from Malaysia.

Now this seems like something useful. Nice find, Brad! There’s also a way to change WWW/non-WWW in Google if you use Google Webmaster Tools, I believe. You should check it out.

I don’t think anyone will need this plugin, since WordPress manages this by itself! Try me (without having this plugin installed); http://www.webhypes.com !

I see what you mean Coen, but for links, it creates a 301 redirect that will count for the link-backs.

What your doing is just redirecting to the http:// , but all the links that have the http://www will not count toward your Pagerank and inbound links.

I must be missing something…I installed and activated the plugin but I can’t find where I actually set it for my preference. In WP Version 5 it doesn’t seem to appear anywhere in settings or management…does it?

@ Scono - I didn’t find it either. Just activate the plugin and it will enforce the http:// or http://www preference :( - This probably didn’t help you
